How to feel beautiful in the buff - cellulite and all

Here at Such, we created our range of bum specific treatments because we want everyone to feel good about their fine ass selves.

If scars, pigmentation, stretch marks or cellulite are bugging you, we totally get it. And while there might not be one magical potion or lotion that can completely kick their ass, we want to help everyone love the skin they’re in no matter what. (Yep, we try and wear ours with pride.)

So, what’s the deal with cellulite anyway?

Cellulite is basically normal fat beneath the skin pushing against connective tissue, resulting in that bumpy, dimpled appearance. Cellulite isn’t dangerous; it’s just one of those things.

Did you know that between 80% to 90% of women will experience cellulite, typically affecting the bum and thighs? It affects men too. It don’t care who you are! Which is why we *try* and wear ours with pride while also attempting to dry brush and mask into submission. Balance, right?

We know a lot of people look for skincare for their bums that can treat cellulite. While we’re in the business of making delicious and nutritious skincare for bums, we’re here to tell you that using a product alone won’t do much for dealing with the damned dimples. So if you’re looking for ways to help smooth out those sexy limbs and minimise the appearance of lumps and bumps, here are a few things that help our bums look (and more importantly, feel) amazing.

Reset your body

A slow metabolism and poor blood circulation can both contribute to cellulite.  While these factors are often genetic, exercise and healthy eating are an excellent way to both speed up your metabolism and boost circulation.

Exercise can help to strengthen the connective fibres under the skin, which improves elasticity while building muscle and burning away fat. Focus on exercises that target your glutes and quadriceps like step-ups, lunges and squats.  A retro workout is our go-to! A healthy, balanced diet, together with exercise, can improve the appearance of cellulite. Anti-inflammatory foods are also great to get you feeling as good as you look.

Drink lots of water

If you are reading this, drink a glass of water. Whether it’s on your face or your ass, dehydrated skin is nobody's friend. So pour yourself a tall glass of water, you tall glass water.  (See? It just adds up.)

Boost your circulation

We love a rub-a-dub-dub especially with a dry brush in the tub. Body brushing, massage and switching between hot and cold in the shower are all great ways to boost your circulation and get that blood flowing.

Look after your skin

Our bum masks are formulated with beautiful clays and nutrient-rich ingredients to treat your skin. While they can't make cellulite disappear, the gentle exfoliants in our masks can help stimulate lymphatic drainage. At the same time, our potent ingredients can improve firmness and texture, plump and hydrate your skin, making cellulite less noticeable.

Whether you call it self-love, self-care, or all of the above, focusing on what makes you feel good is, in our opinion, the best way to kick cellulite’s ass.
